Prologue

A Hard Knock Life

It can be said that Leroy Decker never had it easy in life.  He was never the star quarterback of the football team, no matter how hard he tried.  He couldn't hold a steady job, getting laid off from places of employment more than once.  Leroy struggled to keep his grades in check, his Mother even sprung for a tutor once, but it never seemed to improve his grades.  He had a habit of staying holed up in the house and never gave himself the opportunity to mingle with the masses or even find a special someone to share his  free time with.  His mother warned him that all the seclusion could one day lead to bouts of insanity, but Leroy would rather dabble in all things musical.  He would spend hours listening to music or writing song lyrics, figuring that pursuing friends or lovers could wait.
Leroy had just turned eighteen and was just finishing up his senior year of High School when he lost  his mother to cancer.  It was a tough time for Leroy and he completely lost control.  The cancer had taken his mother away so quickly that she had never gotten around to writing up her will, so when she passed, all of her belongings went to the community leaving Leroy almost completely penniless with just a stack of clothing, his school backpack and a cell phone to his name.

When his phone rang one evening, he was shocked to hear that the local adoption agency had some news they needed to discuss with him right away.  Leroy dropped his latest song writing project and headed down the the agency offices immediately.  Leroy knew he was adopted, he'd been told so, as long as he could remember...what WAS a mystery, was WHO his Father was! Maybe his string of bad luck was beginning to turn around!

There was some good news, and there was some bad news.  The good news, was that the agency had tracked down Leroy's father! The bad news was, unfortunately Malcom, his father, had died in a tragic plane crash just two weeks prior, BUT not everything was lost with his death.  Malcom had left Leroy a $10,000 Simoleons Trust Fund, which he could tap into immediately, as well as an empty house in a small city called Windenburg!

Leroy was desperate to become a Musical Genius, and he was hopeful that moving to this Windenburg and taking over his fathers' old home would be the inspiration he needed to continue in his song writing ventures.  He stopped in at the cemetery to say goodbye to his mother's grave, he wasn't sure that coming back was something he ever intended to do.
With just a little over $10,000 Simoleons to his name, his cell phone in his pocket, a set of house keys with an address, his passport and a small duffel bag of clothing packed up, Leroy headed to the country of Vishino!  As the plane circled the little city of Windenburg, a sense of excitement filled Leroy and for the first time in a long while, he had hope!

Would the tides finally be turning in his favor...or would he forever be chasing dreams and waiting for the other ball to drop!?
