Chapter 4 - It Has Arrived!

Again, conversation between Leroy and Liberty flowed easily enough, and Leroy had plenty of exciting news to tell her.  He explained all about the makeshift bed he was set up with and his shopping adventure at The Roadstead earlier that morning.  They chatted about the bistro L'Attente, where Leroy had grabbed a quick, solo brunch.  Apparently L'Attente was fairly new, and Liberty had yet to have the opportunity to try it out, so they discussed tentative plans to change that.  It was when Leroy told Liberty about the phone call from Be Fit as a Fiddle Co. that the conversation came to an abrupt halt!  Liberty had forgotten that she was supposed to meet her personal trainer in less than thirty minutes at Burners and Builders gym, so she had to scoot.
"It was great catching up, we'll definitely have to get together again, hopefully when I don't have other obligations I have to run off for!  Oh yeah, enjoy that new tub, and thanks again for the macchiato, Leroy!" said Liberty as she waved goodbye and hurried out of the cafe'.
Leroy ordered a coffee, to go and decided to head for home, to wait for his furniture to be delivered.

Talk about good timing...he arrived home JUST as the delivery crew showed up with all of his purchases stacked on Roadstead stamped dollies, ready to move it all inside!  A few hours later, everything was moved into place, hooked up, ready for use, so the delivery crew bade Leroy a good evening and headed out.  The crew had hardly left, the front door still clicking closed, and Leroy was racing into the bathroom to try out his new tub!  Trap's Trapezoid Tub was everything the label had promised and then some...it was nothing short of glorious!  If it hadn't been for his tummy rumbling, Leroy may have never gotten out!
One of the delivery crew had left a half eaten box of microwaveable pastries on the counter, so Leroy popped one in his brand new microwave and let the sweet smells of gooey dark chocolate permeate throughout the house.  He hadn't sprung for a sofa or a dining room table just yet, so there wasn't really anywhere to sit, but not wanting to trail crumbs all over the house, Leroy just stood in the, now officially designated, kitchen.
Today had been quite wonderful, Leroy felt so proud of everything he had accomplished, from the furniture buying to cooking a pastry for dinner, and NOT starting a fire in the process.  Now, the icing on the cake would be some dedicated music oriented time, so Leroy picked up his new Stringvarious Violin and attempted to make sweet sounding music.  It really was less than impressive and Leroy was sure glad that there hadn't been anyone to, ahem, enjoy the show.  Time, he decided, it was going to take time to master this instrument, that much was apparent, and time was something Leroy would have plenty of!  There was no job to rush off to, so as not to get fired, no more scraping by, worrying where he'd be laying his head for the night...he owned his own place, and was miles away from everything bad in his past!
