Chapter 3 - Getting Goodies

First thing on the "To Do List" the following morning, was to take a trip over to The Roadstead, in Magnolia Promenade, the retail district, so Leroy could pick out some items for the house.  A bed he had, thanks to the cafe' owner and Moira Freys, but there were things like bathroom plumbing and kitchen counters which would need to be purchased and delivered to the house.  There was a posting on a bulletin board right outside the shop, that stated a Flea Market event was coming to San Myshuno, a neighboring city, in the near future....but since the house was literally empty, Leroy wouldn't be able to wait that long.
He handpicked some kitchen counters that were just his style, decided a mid range microwave would do the job, picked up the cheapest toilet they had left and was even able to score a slightly used refrigerator that would suffice.  His two favorite purchases of the morning were the Stringvarious Violin, which was just his cup of tea, needing music in his life, and then there was the overpriced, but should be amazing, Trap's Trapezoid Tub.  He knew he should be saving those precious Simoleons whenever possible, but Leroy just couldn't stop imagining how wonderful it would be to own such a thing!  It was a stunning corner tub with fancy jets that boasted meticulous placement of said jets to provide optimal muscle relief and he just couldn't wait to get home and try it out! So, he forked over about $3,000 Simoleons for his purchases, left the address for the delivery service and went in search of something to have for brunch.
L'Attente Bistro was the only place to get a bite to eat, there in Magnolia Promenade, unless you wanted to use one of the various barbecue grills, so Leroy climbed the front steps and requested a table.  There were so many things on the menu that Leroy would have loved to try, like their Sausage And Shrimp Gumbo or their Triple Berry Fruit Cobbler.  So, after much deliberation, he settle on ordering a Bacon Lettuce Tomato Sandwich and a large cup of black coffee, it was "brunch time," after all.  He promised himself that he'd make a point to come back to L'Attente soon and try something else on the menu.  Maybe he'd ask Liberty to dinner and see if Travis and Summer were available as well, he was rather intrigued about the possibility of actually making some friends for a change.

While Leroy waited for his meal to be prepared and brought out to the terrace where he had been seated, he was startled when his cell phone rang.  He answered the random number assuming that maybe it was the delivery service calling to confirm drop off at his house. It turned out that Be Fit as a Fiddle Co. was calling and they wanted to send him a free pair of Hitz Earbuds, as a promotion for their newest product on the market!  They ran through their spiel about gym membership which included use of a Treadmill Rock Climbing Wall and some coupons for cheap fitness videos he could hook up via his television.  He gave his address to the nice sounding lady on the other end of the line, accepted their free gift of Hitz Earbuds, declined her other offers, for the time being, and hung up.  Free earbuds?!  That meant access to music 24/7 no matter where Leroy was and no matter what he was doing!
Just as Leroy was leaving a tip on the table and paying his food bill, his cell phone beeped, signaling a text message was coming through.  It was Liberty Lee, and she wanted to catch up at South Square Coffee, apparently there was "a macchiato calling her name!"  So Leeroy hopped on the trolley and headed back to his home district, he'd need to be near to the house when his furniture arrived anyhow, and there was no harm in passing time with Liberty while he was waiting, was there?
