Chapter 9 - Lines

Leroy was up at the crack of dawn to work in his garden.  He watered, he weeded what small weeds had cropped up and he sprayed for bugs, just in case, Bjorn Bjergsen had warned about infestations completely destroying a garden in a matter of a couple days.  As long as he kept tending his garden and didn't let the plants die, Leroy would have access to fresh produce, daily!   He was quite pleased what his hard work had yielded thus far, there were a few bunches of nice dark green spinach, a handful of carrots and a dozen or so mushrooms, and to think, it had just taken a small chunk of time each day.  After washing all the freshly picked vegetables in the upstairs sink (kitchen sink on the "to buy next" list) and carefully storing them in the refrigerator, he grabbed his violin and prepared for a relaxing day of practicing.  Leroy was determined to master the strings over time, but he'd settle for a little improvement, he was tired of the screeches that still poured forth, at least they weren't as frequent as they had been the first day.

Later in the evening, when Leroy was tinkering around on his violin he received a surprise text from Liberty.
Liberty: "U + Me = Chalet Gardens 8pm...yes?!"
Not wanting to be a "stick in the mud," despite being tired, and a tad bit nervous to go back to The Estate, he texted her back.
Leroy: "O-K! C U there!"
After changing into some clean clothes and running a quick hand through his hair, he headed out.
The whole Estate seemed dark and deathly quiet, except for a small corner behind the mansion, it wasn't hard to figure out where the party was...a portable DJ Booth had been carted in, complete with laser lights and even a fog machine!  Some Sims were already dancing on the makeshift dance floor as the smoke billowed around their ankles, when Leroy and Liberty showed up.
"Let's get this party started!" Liberty said with a giggle, after greeting Leroy with a friendly hug.
Turning up the beat, the DJ got the music thumping, and the crowd was hyped.  It sure wasn't long before the pair was showing off their "signature" dance moves and bopping along to the beat.

Leroy wasn't sure if it was the music, the lights, or the fog, but feeling bold, he decided to flirt with Liberty.
"Hey Liberty are you a magician?"
*Liberty flashes a confused look at Leroy*
"Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears!" Leroy finishes quickly.
*Silence from Liberty*
Thinking that since he wasn't shot down, but Liberty looked a bit confused, he tried again...
"I'm not a photographer, but I can picture me and you together!" Leroy said with a cheesy grin.
Unfortunately his attempts went south and it ended up as nothing more than an awkward and embarrassing conversation...what a disaster!  So it was no surprise when Liberty made up an excuse and left the party early (she had forgotten to wash her hair and needed to get home right away).

Leroy slept in until after noon sometime, the following day. Standing at the kitchen counter in his bathrobe, making another garden salad, he contemplated how he would make it up to Liberty.
